Come cook with FLIK Chefs! The best way to get a child to eat healthy is by getting them involved in the cooking process. Our Chef’s goal is to introduce your child to basic cooking techniques. If your child needs a boost of self-confidence, cooking in the kitchen will help do that. They are accomplishing a task, learning something important, and contributing to the family. Cooking skills will help to reinforce concepts in science, language, and math! Children will work together as a team. Culinary Art activities are a great way to express creativity and enjoy your creation.

Robotics — Beginner $150

Campers will use Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 robotics kits to build and program their own robots. Students will learn and use a design methodology that will teach them about the new motors and sensors their robot uses.

Speech Camp — $165

For all those who enjoy performing, writing, reading and acting, this is the camp for you! We will jump into the creative mindset through acting exercises and playing improvisation games as a group. We will have dedicated times for reading scripts so that those who are on the middle school speech team (and even those who want to be!) can find their performance piece for the year. This camp is a great way to start the year strong on the speech team!

For all those who are excited about the possibility of gaining national recognition in public speaking, this is the camp for you! Speech Coach Austin Groves will be running this camp to help you work toward achieving the same goal. He has won multiple national championships and wants to coach other high school students to do the same. We will jump into the creative mindset through acting exercises and playing improvisation games as a group. We will have dedicated times for reading scripts so that those who are on the Varsity US Speech team (and even those who want to be!) can find their performance piece or speech for the year. It is vital to be present the entire week due to the camp being structured as a sequential camp that will build on top of each day. During this week you will also get the opportunity to work with some of the most accomplished speech competitors in the United States. Attending this camp is a great way to start the year strong on any speech team! Lunch will be provided.
